Do you know what it means to be Emotionally Intelligent?

Emotional Intelligence is our ability to recognize, allow, and respond to our emotions.

So many people are talking about emotional intelligence and the power it has in our lives. I know it can be hard to not tune something out that we hear all the time, but I encourage you to stay with me as we dive into what this means and why it is something you should consider growing.

1. Emotional Intelligence is a key to success

It is proven that those who have emotional intelligence, have more success than those who don't. Their ability to be aware, and respond when big emotions are present is an important skill. If you're wanting success in any are of your life, ask yourself do you know what it is you're thinking and feeling in that area? How do you respond?

2. Become aware

Awareness is key to change and growth. You can't change what you aren't aware of. Learning to know yourself, know your emotions and know what you're thinking gives you the ability to change.

3. Keep practicing

To become aware means being intentional. Set aside times on your phone to check in and see what you're thinking and feeling throughout the day. Get to know your emotions. Name them. Get a color wheel or these cards from amazon as a way to build that awareness language.

Practice doing this MORE and use AND in your emotion work and life. This builds your emotional Intelligence.
