 The Love Languages by Gary Chapman has started a craze within relationships. 

While the concept is good- I want to be careful that we don't hang everything on these love languages as a basis for if someone is showing us love if for even allowing us to feel connected to someone else. 

I find so many people feel resentful and stuck in their marriages and friendships because they believe that since the other person knows their love language, they should give it to them. That is just not the case and that leaves us in such a powerless place. 

Love language is a great awareness tool- but that's it. It is not something we need. 

It's a want.

And we don't have to get what we want all the time.
